His Majesty The Great Arab Minds Award 2024 winner in the category of architecture and design, Sahel Al Hayari, was congratulated by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai. Today, we congratulate the Great Arab Minds Award 2024 winner, Architectural Engineer Sahel Al Hayari from Jordan,” Sheikh Mohammed stated on the X platform.
According to Sheikh Mohammed, architect Al Hayari has created many unique architectural projects, taught architecture, and presented his research and creations at some of the world’s most prestigious universities. He also presents designs that blend modernity and heritage, identity and nature.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the distinctive styles and designs of Arab architecture have impacted human civilization throughout history and that many outstanding Arab architects and designers should be encouraged, empowered, and valued.
Al Hayari is renowned for fusing cutting-edge modern architecture with traditional Arab masonry and modern architectural features with historical background. His distinct style has sparked an interactive conversation between topography and architecture, and he has helped to increase the visibility of Arab stone building from Jordan in international circles.
Al Hayari graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Architecture and Fine Arts and from the Harvard Graduate School of Design with a Master of Architecture in Urban Design.
