His Majesty The Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has issued an order creating an additional stipend for Sharjah’s retirees.
The order states that pensioners registered in Sharjah who work for the federal government, regional emirate governments, or the private sector and get a pension of less than Dhs17,500 per month are entitled to this financial assistance.
As long as they don’t earn any additional salaries, bonuses, or pensions surpassing this sum, the grant will guarantee their monthly income will increase to Dhs17,500. Starting on the day the application is submitted, payments will be made. Additionally, a “Supplementary Grant Committee for Retirees” is established in Sharjah by the decree, overseen by the Department of Human Resources.
Walid Ibrahim Al Sayegh, Director General of the Central Finance Department; Mohammed Obaid Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Security Fund; Dr. Mansour Mohammed Bin Nassar, Head of the Government of Sharjah’s Legal Department; and Noura Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Salaries Department at the Department of Human Resources, will serve as the Committee Rapporteur. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of the Department of Human Resources, will chair the committee.
Applications will be received and reviewed by the Department of Human Resources, which will also update beneficiary data and confirm eligibility once a year. Additionally, it will compile and audit lists of qualified retirees regularly.
