President Volodymyr Zelensky has cautioned that Ukraine may find it difficult to obtain air defense weapons as a result of the Middle East conflict. Additionally, he stated that there was “a risk” that the battle might divert Ukraine’s friends from his nation’s defense against Russia’s full-scale invasion.He told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, “We might have trouble getting missiles and weapons to protect our skies. The Americans and their allies in the Middle East might need them to defend themselves, for example Patriot missiles.
“Of course, it’s a risk,” Zelensky said when asked if there was a chance that the US and the EU will overlook Ukraine’s defense in favor of the Middle East. Ukraine has become used to being seen from a global perspective for many years. Western officials flocked to Kyiv’s streets last week to commemorate the somber fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war.
