As The IDF hits Hezbollah, the BBC Travels to Lebanon Following an Israeli Strike that Killed a Family

The BBC visited the wreckage of a home where eight members of a family, including three children, were killed in a hit as Israel continues to target Hezbollah-affiliated locations in Lebanon.

In the northeastern hamlet of Younine, the Iran-backed armed group’s yellow flag hung atop a heap of debris. Among the rubble were packets of candy and toys for kids. Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure while Hezbollah operatives were present” was the aim, the Israeli military said the BBC.

At the scene, neighbors and family claimed to be unaware of this.Locals stated that an extended family, including three children, ages five, nine, and fourteen, were getting together to break the Ramadan fast when the strike struck a house and store on Wednesday night.

Since the conflict with Hezbollah commenced about two weeks ago, the Israeli military has launched hundreds of strikes in Lebanon. The majority have concentrated on southern Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley, and the Dahieh, the southern suburbs of Beirut’s capital, which are the Shia Muslim community’s and Hezbollah’s strongholds. Some have also struck Beirut’s downtown.
