There is a Fierce Competition in Sweden For the Role of Hard Right Eyes in the Government

In Sunday’s general election, Sweden’s left- and right-wing political blocs will compete fiercely. Ulf Kristersson, the country’s current conservative prime minister, has promised cabinet posts to hard-right allies if he stays in office.

The left faction, which is supporting Magdalena Andersson of the Social Democrats to retake power, has a slim advantage in the most recent surveys. The hard-right, neo-Nazi Sweden Democrats (SD) have backed Kristersson in administration.

The main concerns are welfare spending, gang crime, and national security, but the possibility of the anti-immigration SD entering the government might also have an impact. Swedes are accustomed to coalition and minority governments because there are two major political blocs in Sweden, with four parties on the right and four on the left.

The Riksdag election in Sweden is open to almost eight million voters. According to a poll conducted on Friday on behalf of the Swedish news agency Ekot, the left-wing bloc received 50.8% of the vote, 3.2% more than the right-wing bloc, which received 47.6%.

According to the Ekot survey, the centre-left Social Democrats, who have promised increased public spending, are leading the polls with 28.6%, followed by the Sweden Democrats on the right with 18.3%.
