This comes after President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine stated that similar attacks, which had been halted at the request of the United States, would resume. Russia has accused Ukraine of assaulting an oil refinery on Thursday.
While Russia continued to strike Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Zelensky stated that he had restricted attacks for a period of three days. He told the Financial Times, “We’re done,” and he meant it.
There was no “significant damage” caused by the attack on the refineries, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated that Ukraine had also attempted to attack them on Wednesday. Ukraine has disputed this.
In addition, Zelensky said that the United States had decided to stop providing intelligence in order to exert pressure on Kyiv to stop the attacks. However, Ukrainian defence sources later informed the BBC that some functionality on Starlink satellite systems had previously been restored.
They said “operation while on the move,” a component of Starlink’s military service Starshield, had been restored. However, it is still unknown whether limits on the speed at which drones might fly while still maintaining a Starlink internet connection have been completely eliminated. According to the sources, the authorities were still attempting to shed light on “the reasons and circumstances” that led to the relocation.
