ABU DHABI: The CEO of the Abu Dhabi Investment Group (ADIG), Zayed Bin Aweidha, was welcomed by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the Palácio do Planalto. Growing cooperation with Brazil to develop important projects stated at the 19th G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro was the focus of the high-level discussion.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Zayed Bin Aweidh discussed the potential for mutual cooperation in crucial sectors such as sustainable development, economic diversification, and international trade under the summit’s theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.” The fruitful conversations emphasized the significance of international collaborations and transformative projects that complement the UAE’s vision for sustainable growth and its continuous endeavors to support cutting-edge global environmental and economic solutions.
In particular, the restoration of damaged pastures, industrial development, sustainable mobility, and urban infrastructure were among the important areas of Brazil that President Lula da Silva and Zayed bin Aweidha examined for investment prospects. President Lula emphasized how Brazil is a desirable location for foreign investment due to its strong political, social, and economic stability. It is anticipated that these ambitious initiatives will require a total investment of about $100 billion. Prominent individuals who attended the meeting were Carlos Ernesto Augustin, Special Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock; Bruno Moretti, Secretary of Governmental Analysis; and businessman Mario Garnero.
