Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved the disbursement of the third housing benefits package in 2024 to citizens of Abu Dhabi. These benefits, valued at Dhs7.72 billion, have been distributed among 5,374 citizens across the emirate.
The third package includes housing loans totalling more than Dhs3.569 billion in value, aiding 2,373 citizens. It also includes residential land and housing grants worth Dhs3.67 billion, benefiting 2,540 citizens.
Furthermore, about Dhs486 million in home loan payments have been waived for the elderly, low-income pensioners, and the families of departed individuals. 461 residents of the emirate have directly profited from this exemption.
The total amount of housing benefits disbursed in 2024 has reached Dhs13.216 billion, benefiting 8,891 citizens throughout the emirate. This includes exempting senior citizens, low-income retirees, and the families of deceased citizens from Dhs847.2 million in housing loan payments, which benefit 805 citizens, Dhs8.361 billion in housing loan payments, which benefit 5,194 citizens, and Dhs4 billion in residential land and housing grants, which benefit 2,892 citizens.
