LIWA Village put on a spectacular show on December 12th to commemorate its return to the center of the Al Dhafra desert.
All eyes were on the sky as two fearless professionals, carrying a banner, skydived from a plane to declare Liwa Village’s official return against the breathtaking backdrop of the Liwa dunes. The plane departed Abu Dhabi Sports Aviation Club, its base, and traveled the short distance to LIWA Festival. When the plane reached 13,000 feet, the skydivers jumped out, plunging into a heart-pounding freefall across the azure heavens.
The words “LIWA VILLAGE IS BACK” soared above the horizon as the enormous banner fluttered in the wind, captivating the viewers below and establishing the mood for another incredible adventure, entertainment, and cultural festival that would go until January 4.
Abu Dhabi Sports Aviation Club is a community that brings together thrill-seekers to safely enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences, helping to realize the vision of LIWA Village. The club was formed with the approval and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
