In collaboration with American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera), the United Arab Emirates confirmed the successful entry of twelve trucks delivering aid to the fraternal Palestinians in the Gaza Strip through the Erez gate in northern Gaza and the Karam Abu Salem gate in southern Gaza.
Twelve trucks delivering 150 tonnes of humanitarian aid and urgent help to fulfil the needs of 30,000 people make up the latest consignment, which is among the first to enter the Gaza Strip since October.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, reiterated that the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to Gaza is a testament to its longstanding and unwavering support for the Palestinian people. In order to address the catastrophic and worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip, the UAE is undertaking a variety of initiatives.
“The UAE remains resolute in its commitment to assisting the Palestinians and carrying out humanitarian relief efforts, whether through air, sea, or land routes,” he continued. More than 40,000 tonnes of critical help have been delivered by the UAE thus far, and it will keep up its substantial work and leadership role with the UN and other international partners to guarantee the prompt, secure, unimpeded, and sustainable delivery of aid on awide scale, through all possible means.
