With the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” the World Governments Summit 2025 gets underway in Dubai today and runs through February 13. Prominent politicians, visionaries, decision-makers, and a variety of international organisations will participate in a number of important forums on Day Zero, such as the Arab Fiscal Forum, the Arab Meeting for Young Leaders, and the Young Arab Leaders Forum.
With more than 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international and regional organisations, and 140 government delegations, the 12th edition of the World Governments Summit is witnessing unprecedented international engagement. More than 300 speakers from around the world will participate in more than 200 interactive sessions during the event, where thought leaders and professionals will talk about significant global trends.
The 9th Arab Fiscal Forum, co-hosted by the Ministry of Finance, the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is one of the most notable events on “Day Zero.”
This year’s event will concentrate on creating fair and effective fiscal strategies to deal with debt vulnerabilities and upcoming difficulties in the face of more stringent funding limitations. Speakers in the forum’s inaugural session include Dr. Fahad Al Turki, DG and chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund; Kristalina Georgieva, MD of the International Monetary Fund; and Mohamed Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs.
