His Highness the President In order to create the UAE Aid Agency, which is connected to the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued Federal Decree No. 27 of 2024. The agency will possess complete legal power to act and an autonomous juridical entity.
Implementing foreign aid programs in accordance with the overarching international humanitarian affairs policy is the agency’s responsibility. With an emphasis on disaster relief, early recovery programs, post-conflict stabilization, development programs, and capacity building programs, it is responsible for organizing, supervising, carrying out, and monitoring official government assistance.
“The establishment of the UAE Aid Agency represents a continuation of the steadfast humanitarian legacy laid by our Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” said His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, in remarks marking the agency’s founding.
