Trump Says He Has a Trade Deal With India, And Modi Praises the US President’s Move

After talking to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, US President Donald Trump declared a “trade deal” with India. He said that New Delhi will stop buying Russian oil and may instead buy it from Venezuela.

Trump said in a social media post after talking to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that “out of friendship and respect for Prime Minister Modi and at his request, we agreed to a Trade Deal between the United States and India, in which the United States will charge a lower Reciprocal Tariff, lowering it from 25% to 18%.”

This will help END THE WAR in Ukraine, which is going on right now and killing thousands of people every week! In a Truth Twitter post about the tariff cut on India, Trump wrote

Trump said that Modi also promised to acquire more than $500 billion worth of US energy, technological, agricultural, and other goods. Wonderful to talk to my dear friend,” Modi said, thanking Trump for a trade accord between the two countries.”Made in India” products will now have a lower tax of 18%, Modi said in a post on X. He also said he was looking forward to working closely with the US President.
