Iran is Urged by a UAE Official to Mend Damaged Trust” with Gulf Nations

Days after Tehran fired missiles to the Al Udeid military camp in Qatar, UAE diplomat Anwar Gargash stated on Saturday that Iran has to regain the trust of other Gulf nations. The UAE President’s advisor stated in a comment on X that the countries in the region had adopted a position opposing the Israeli war on Iran, “calling for a resolution of outstanding issues, chief among them the nuclear file through political means and working through all international platforms to de-escalate the situation.

He stated, “The Gulf states took an energetic and impactful stand against the Israeli war on Iran, Today, as we flip the page on the war, Tehran remains needed to rebuild trust with its Gulf neighbours, having damaged it through this aggression. The largest US military installation in the Middle East, the Al Udeid military station in Qatar, was the target of a retaliatory strike by Iran on June 23.

The strike, which Qatar described as a “flagrant violation” of sovereignty, was successfully intercepted, and it claimed the right to retaliate. According to a US official, there were no recorded injuries at the base. Donald Trump, the US president, called the strike “very weak.
