Dubai Airport Publishes an Advisory Stating “Don’t come to DXB” Because of “Disruption” in Operations

Tuesday, April 16, weather conditions in the UAE were unusual, posing many “operational challenges” for Dubai International (DXB) airport.

The airport authorities are asking the public to “please do not come to the airport unless necessary.” There are still delays and flight diversions. Please contact your airline directly to check the status of your flight.

To quickly get things back on track, the authority collaborates with service partners and emergency response teams around-the-clock. It is advised that travelers give themselves more time to go to the airport and check the status of their flight directly with their airline.

An update on Emirates’ official X account states that several of its flights to and from DXB have been delayed or interrupted. On Wednesday, April 17, the airline stopped accepting check-ins for travelers leaving Dubai. As a result, travelers may anticipate delays in both arrivals and departures.

A flydubai spokesperson said that the severe weather conditions have significantly disrupted the airline’s operations at Dubai International (DXB). “As a result, many Flydubai flights have been canceled or experienced extensive delays. The severe weather conditions will continue throughout the night (April 16) and into tomorrow.
